At this year’s International Public Relations Network (IPRN) Annual General meeting, McOnie became an award winner once again, scooping the B2B Project of the Year Award for the fourth year running!
The IPRN is a network that brings together PR professionals from across the globe and each year, a member of the organisation hosts an annual conference in their home country and this year’s three day event took place in China.
Our Managing Director, Sarah, was lucky enough to spend a few days mingling and networking with our international partners in Beijing and Gubei Water Town, learning about different cultures and sharing experiences on global communications issues and trends.
As well as exploring China’s most famous landmarks and catching up with friends from within the network, Sarah also presented our successful, award-winning entry for the Project of the Year category entitled “Will Robots Steal Our Jobs?”
This successful campaign, carried out on behalf of our client, the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF), challenged existing preconceptions about robots and automation in the manufacturing workplace by talking directly to those affected about their thoughts on the issue.
The main aim of the research project was to explore ideas about the future of robotics and automation in the workplace and position the CIEHF as a leading expert on this topic. The research survey was extremely successful with the results enabling us to generate a wide range of press coverage within national, industry and business media. In total, we secured 39 pieces of print and digital coverage, reaching an audience of over 10 million.
This project demonstrated our ability to create clear, compelling and engaging communications for our clients, showing the value of a strategic campaign.
Winning the B2B category was definitely a cause for celebration and the presentation gave us a chance to showcase some of the effective and creative strategies we have been working on.
Founded in 1995, the IPRN is an international network of independently owned communications and public relations agencies with over 40 members, in 28 countries with more than 80 offices in five continents.
McOnie has been a member for the last six years and as a result of our membership, we have made some fantastic connections and have worked with partners in India, Dubai and America on a range of PR campaigns. This has enabled us to reach a global audience and complete successful international B2B PR strategies for our clients.
