The McOnie Agency wins international B2B PR award

On 20th May, The McOnie Agency won the International Public Relation Network (IPRN) B2B Project of the Year 2014 award, at the network’s Annual General Meeting and Conference n London.

The Project of the Year award was won for a DuPont ProtectionTechnologies campaign run in conjunction with a German partner agency and member of IPRN, JP Kom. The aim of the project was to position DuPont Protection Technologies as thought leaders in the German fire market through activities such as a round table held at key trade show, A+A in Dusseldorf.

The presentation highlighted the impressive range of coverage achieved across a number of fire titles both in the UK and Germany. A total of 27 cuttings and a circulation of more than 670,000 were secured with the round table appearing in a leading German firefighter magazine, BrandSchultz.

Commenting on The McOnie Agency’s win, IPRN Chairman, Maggi Fox said: “The McOnie Agency is a well deserved winner of the B2B Project of the Year as the agency exemplified the benefit of partnering with network agencies who have expertise in their own territories. On behalf of all the IPRN members, I would like to commend The McOnie Agency on what was an entertaining and thought-provoking presentation.”

Commenting on the IPRN conference and Project of the Year award, managing director, Sarah McOnie said: “Winning this year’s IPRN B2B Project of the Year is a real testimony to the hard work and dedication that all the team back in Surrey have achieved in the past year for DuPont. It was hugely beneficial working with JPKom as their knowledge of the German trade press was extensive and their contacts proved very useful.

“The 2014 IPRN conference was a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed by all. We hope everyone took away plenty of useful information and knowledge that was shared amongst members. We are very much looking forward to attending the 2015 IPRN conference in Washington DC, USA.”
