Without a doubt, January can be one of the gloomiest months of the year. Festive celebrations are over, the diet begins and the dark evenings seem to last forever. There’s no surprise that the third Monday in January has been named ‘Blue Monday’. On this day, it is expected people nationally will give up their new year’s resolutions, opting for chocolate rather than fruit and spending the day feeling down in the dumps. At McOnie HQ, however, we have had an extremely positive start to the year, planning some exciting B2B PR campaigns and welcoming a handful of shiny new clients to the agency. As we leave the nation’s gloomiest month behind, we want to reflect on why January was so positive for McOnie.
Recently, Sarah McOnie jetted off to Dubai to attend two international trade show for our clients. The first, Intersec, is an international security and safety show, with approximately 32,750 visitors from 129 different countries. The second was the MRO show for companies working in the commercial aircraft maintenance sector, developing innovative technology to push the industry forward. At both events Sarah fully supported our clients, by introducing them to key media titles and facilitating over nine editor meetings.
Whilst organising and attending these events, we have also been beavering away at our McOnie offices, using our creative thinking and specialist skills to produce effective B2B PR strategies that will help amplify our clients’ brands.
From Hull to Shoreditch (and everywhere in between) we have been busy visiting clients and planning an array of exciting PR campaigns to help bring clarity to their communications in 2018.
To do this, we create and arrange a number of PR tactics including producing editorial content, website and SEO development, editor 1-2-1 briefings, event support and organisation and media relations, plus much more. A full list of our service offerings, can also be found here.
To help us fulfil these opportunities, our strategic approach includes planning, messaging, research and insight, crisis management, public affairs, sponsorship and media training. One of our aims is to put our clients’ minds at ease by using our expert skills to manage their PR and safeguard their reputation; and an effective communications programme tailored to their needs will help us do this.
We have also been working on a number of projects this month, as the services we offer to clients continue to expand. An example of what we have worked on includes, SEO projects for aviation, planning video productions as well as creating content development for new brochure launches. We have also been working on public affairs campaigns at Westminster, helping our clients influence policy.
2018 has gotten off to a flying start and we are eager to produce tangible results for our clients. To find out about some of the campaigns we worked across in 2017, please click here.
